Prior to this position, Allyson was the Program Director for Virginia Mentoring Partnership (now MENTOR Virginia). With Allyson’s leadership, the program was able to grow to include a total of 21 community colleges by 2017. The Great Expectations Education Program for Foster Youth was launched in 2008 at 5 community colleges. The program works toward ensuring that every former foster youth in Virginia has a post-secondary credential leading to a family sustaining wage. Great Expectations is a program for students who have aged out of foster care with the purpose of providing support, a positive example, and encouragement to the foster care students to continue in school.
She worked with the Virginia Community College System for nearly 8 years, spending most of that time as the Assistant Director and Mentoring Coordinator for the Great Expectations program. Tammie is a certified life coach, National Motherhood Facilitator, program coordinator, and Trauma Informed Care Master Trainer. Jones Mayors Day of Recognition, AmeriCorps State and National Symposium, and the National Governors Wives Association Winter Meeting. “The Educator Serving the Community Award,” “Circle of Grace Award,” “Woman of Inspiration Award,” and “Remarkable Woman 2022 Award.” Her public speaking engagements have included Dwight C. Tammie has received several awards for her commitment and dedication to the community. The live radio program offers guests a safe space to talk, heal, and inspire. IG Tammie is the weekly radio talk show host of Curative Conversations on 101.3 fm. The program is offered to middle and high school girls in the City of Richmond and Henrico County Public Schools.
Tammie is the founder/leader of R.E.A.L Girlz, a character, leadership and empowerment group for middle and high school girls. Her previous employment includes working as a field manager under the Prison Rape Elimination Act traveling to youth correctional facilities throughout the United States, conducting interviews with adjudicated youth. Through her work as Youth Programs Director, Tammie has delivered training to over 500 youth annually. She has facilitated hundreds of workshops on healthy relationships, conflict resolution, effective communication, teen dating violence, and sexual responsibility. Over the past 15 years, she has empowered women through coaching, public speaking, and domestic violence peer counseling. She provides empowerment and relationship coaching to women, teens, and youth development organizations. Tammie is the owner of Flawless Imperfections, LLC. Tammie Mobley Trainer & Technical Assistance Consultant Tamice lives in Richmond with her spouse Ellison and daughter Harlym. Tamice is a Hip-Hop head, a true crime/documentary enthusiast, a pizza lover, and a coffee addict.
MENTOR Virginia is a prominent leader in mentoring and development and Tamice is honored to be a part of the amazing team. Tamice is excited about her new position at MENTOR Virginia because of the many opportunities to demonstrate her passion for youth and young adult wellbeing and success, leadership development, and creative methods for critical mentorship. In her over 15 years of campus work, Tamice has serve d as the Director of Student Experience and Engagement at Virginia Union University, Associate Area Director of HBCU Planning and Strategy and has taught numerous undergraduate courses and workshops. An experienced scholar-practitioner, Tamice holds a Master of Arts in Contextual Outreach and Leadership from Wheaton College as well as a Masters of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological S eminary. In 2018, Tamice e stablished the nonprofit Sub:Culture Incorporated, which seeks to remove social and economic barriers for black college students. Tamic e Spencer -Helms (she/her) has a passion for working with young adults and seeing them grow into themselves and thrive.
